This is a large beautiful painting that will look different at different times of the day because of the light catching on the gold paint that is in the leaves and delicately applied around the painting. It has a romantic modern feel to it. All my paintings have some form of autobiographical element to them and this one is no different. I have painted the Australian flowering gum and its leaves as well applying collage with beautiful paper that I collected when on a trip to India.
