Artwork Description

Heavy Summer Air captures a quiet, sun-drenched moment where time seems to slow down. Inspired by warm summer days and weathered textures, the piece brings together the raw beauty of aged walls, a faded green door, and the quiet resilience of a cactus thriving in the heat.
The contrast between soft terracotta tones and cooling greens reflects the balance between harsh sunlight and stillness - that heavy, peaceful silence you feel in the middle of a hot day when everything pauses.
This work is about simplicity, warmth, and presence. It invites the viewer into a calm, intimate space.
Painted in acrylic on canvas, this is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, signed on the front and ready to hang.

Artist Bio

Thank you so much for visiting my profile! Your interest means the world to me.

I thrive on exploring various techniques and constantly challenge myself to step outside the box. My art gallery is a vibrant tapestry of diverse ideas brought to life on canvas.

A little about me:

My name is Eliza Godlewska, but I sign my works as Eliza Day. This artistic alias was inspired over a decade ago by the haunting beauty of "Where the Wild Roses Grow" by Kylie Minogue and Nick Cave.

Art has been a central part of my life since childhood. My mother likes to joke that I was born with headphones in my ears and paintbrushes in my hands. Well, mums always know best, don’t they?

In 2018, I made the bold move from Poland to Australia. Leaving behind my comfortable life was daunting, but it turned out to be the best decision of my life. This journey transformed me, making me more open-minded and self-aware. I've always admired beautiful paintings and dreamed of creating my own art, but I delayed this passion due to fear and self-doubt. Now, I am a different person, unafraid to share my vision with the world.

I hope my art brings you joy and positive energy. That’s what motivates me every day.

Warm regards,
Eliza
