Artwork Description

This is my newly completed remaster of an artwork I created during my first year of uni based on my trip to Vanuatu. I noticed that despite the village people's poverty, they displayed a profound sense of happiness when they worshiped God. The colour scheme resembles the colours of the Vanuatu flag, the skeleton represents the village children and their poverty, the cross and heart portrays their love for God and the syringes depicts their poor hospitalisation and suffering.

Artist Bio

Hi everyone and welcome to my art profile! I am Liz and am a born artist! I reside in the regional area of Victoria and enjoy both drawing and painting.
I hold a visual arts degree and am in training to be an art teacher. I would describe my art style as a combination of realism and impressionism. I specialise in landscapes, portraits and creating symbolic art and use a variety of mediums such as prismacolour pencils, acrylic paint, oil paints and mixed media. I have a passion to depict countries and places I have travelled to through my art and also base my art on themes such as spirituality and identity.
