Where I live, the sky is so immense...it takes up the majority of so many of my pictures for a reason. The deep blue of winter skies, summer storms, and incandescent sunsets keep me motivated and inspired to capture them in new ways. This is one of the best ones I have captured this year, with about 10 minutes of continually shifting brilliance. I was pulled up at a very unfortunate location, at a roadside service station near the Great Dividing Range, cluttered with electricity poles and telephone lines. The best I could do was point my camera at the sky and hope....and I was overwhelmed when I got home and looked through my captures to find this beauty! I hope it reminds you to always pull over, enjoy the sunset, and take a few photographs.
