Stone Quiet
Painted the same day I rescued a pipped chicken egg from my compost — a chick now named Scraps — this work carries a quiet resilience beneath its surface.
This modern abstract painting layers warm neutrals and muted sage greens into three rock-like forms, outlined in bold charcoal. The textured surface blends rustic warmth with subtle elegance, making it ideal as earthy wall art for living rooms, dining spaces, or part of a curated gallery wall.
This work would look striking in a raw oak float frame. It is painted on a 3.5 cm deep stretched canvas, with the sides finished in white and ready to hang.
Stone Quiet is the first in my Warm Neutrals + Sage series, within the Stone Trio sub-series — where three forms are explored as objects in balance, grounded yet alive with organic energy. Each piece is unified by the use of three abstract, stone-like forms, creating a sense of balance and continuity across the series.
