Working on a "blush" pink paper presented a challenge for me, but I must say I am very pleased with the end result. I love Dahlia flowers and the colours seemed to blend into the support paper colour beautifully! It's simply a "carnival of colour"! This is a perfect blend of softness and yet vibrancy. This painting would enhance any decor and would easily blend in or stand out, depending on the supporting elements. For such a delicate toned paper, my first choice for this artwork was to use watercolour.
