Watercolour on paper
Signed on the front.
The Leucadendrons in my garden had a visitor, the Eatsren Rosella blended in so well with the colours that I hardly knew he was there, perhaps he was hiding? I love the blend of colours and because it had rained an extra element was created in the droplets of water that clung to the leaves and petals.
The contrast of colours plus the textural element make for a striking and vibrant artwork. I have chosen to have the flowers emerge from the background and become the feature of this painting, the Rosella in this instance is the "support act"!
Watercolour on a background of watercolour paper were my materials of choice. This painting would add texture, colour and interest to any space.
