Watercolour on paper
Signed on the front.
A wonderful surprise happened one morning as I waited for the birds to come to my bird feeder, a flock of one of my favourite birds, the Red Rumped parrots or comonly known as Grass Parrots converged on the seed. The males are very colourful with plumage from yellow to green and turquiose, with a distinct red patch on their backs, hence the name! The females are mostly olive green with a hint of turquiose. I do have Camelias in my garden but not where the bird feeder is so I have used my "artistic license" to add them into the picture. I have chosen watercolour on a background of watercolour paper on Illustration board. There is a lot happening in this painting and has taken several months to complete, it would fit well into any space and decor, it's almost like looking through a window watching the birds in the feeder!
