What an "amazing" place to seek shelter! Surrounded by the mesmerizing blossoms and scent of the Jacaranda tree. Kookaburras frequent gum trees but have also been spotted atop the branches of these magnificent beauties! A delight to behold as they reach for the sky and with a gentle breeze they spread their blossoms like a spectacular carpet across the ground.
Heavily adorned bunches of purple cascade down and weave their way through delicate green leafy branches.
This is a definite case of bringing the outdoors "indoors"! There's only one thing missing and that is the perfume wafting from these beautiful blooms!

A tiny Jenny Wren is perched on a palm leaf, holding on tightly with her tiny feet. There is a balance between fragile and robust in this painting. The delicate colours of Jenny with her soft blue tail feathers and grey and white body feathers, plus her orange beak and orange feathers surrounding her eye, contrast well against the strong olive greens of the palm leaf. Soft blues and greens make up the background colours.A Bronzewing pigeon is resting on a log srrounded by reeds and grasses. Its feathers are ruffled from perhaps the cold weather or from a dip in the small lake beside it. Here it is showing off the beautiful colours on the wing, of greens, bronze, blue and purple. A variety of greens and yellows colide in the background grasses behind the pigeon. There is great texture in the form of cracks and holes on the fallen log on which the bird is perched and there are patches of moss on the log. A spray of tiny pick and white wildflowers enhance nature's beauty in the foreground in front of the log.Five Yellow tailed Black Cockatoo's have come to rest in a tangle of the branches on a dry tree amongst scrubland and near a row of pine trees. Their striking black feathers trimmed with yellow with a yellow flash on their cheeks make them unique. They contrast well against the grey tones of the tree branches. The background is a mixture of green and yellow scrubland and patchy blue sky.Two Eastern Rosellas with their brightly coloured feathers of red and yellow predominantly, are almost hidden amongst the brighly coloured yellow blossoms of the Golden Wattle. Some green leaves poke their way through the blossoms randomly. A patch of blue and pink clouds can be seen in the sky above the birds.
