My first painting of 2022, and who doesn't love the flora of WA! This painting of a banksia tree is based on a photo I took in Bold Park in Perth. Looking up into the tree canopies provides a whole different inspiring perspective, and the trees are nearly always backdropped by those sunny state blue skies. The urban bushlands in Perth are diverse and a real haven for city nature wanderings.
