Elmniea is an abstract artist based in the leafy eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Her works are colourful pieces with strong flowing strokes and energetic bursts, that explore how different mediums interact creating a movement effect. She is inspired by grief, loss, equality, feminism, mental health, and the body.
Elmniea completed a Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University, majoring in both visual arts and psychology, where she discovered an interest in life drawing and painting. She is recently complete a Graduate Diploma of Psychology at Monash University which has allowed her creative inspiration to rise indirectly from aspects of mental disorders and daily function, such as thinking, feeling, behaving, and mood.
Elmniea is an emerging artist excited to develop her artistic career. Her creations are born from a mix of emotions and un-natural bursts of energy, which further develop into a lust to explore and desire to play with paint. She has showcased works in group exhibitions at the Phoenix and Searby Galleries in Burwood and local community art shows.
