Artwork Description

In this series, Inner Happenings, Eloise blends black and white tones to delve into a profound exploration of the subtle relationship between existence and time. The juxtaposition of black and white not only creates a strong visual impact but also reflects the opposition between existence and nothingness, life and death, order and chaos, while also conveying the passage of time and the fluctuation of existence. Through this abstract yet profound portrayal, the artist guides viewers to contemplate the meaning of life and the essence of existence, prompting philosophical reflections on the complex interplay between time, existence, and consciousness.

Artist Bio

Eloise comes from a family of artists, with her father being an artist and her mother specialising in abstract art. Eloise grew up copying many masterpieces under the guidance of her parents. This has led to her painting style being diverse - influenced by abstract art and expressionism, she seeks to explore pure artistry and beauty through colour, composition and texture. Eloise paints a wide range of subjects, including still life, landscapes and figures. The main medium for her work is acrylic, but she is continually developing new techniques and experimenting with different mediums.
For Eloise, the task of painting is not only to replicate or recreate reality with skilled techniques, but also to be a record of her feelings, experiences and emotions in every moment of her life which she hopes to share with viewers.
