Artwork Description

This piece, titled "Somewhere in Time," presents an urban architectural landscape. The silver-gray tones convey a sense of calmness and modernity, resonating with the urban detachment and fast-paced lifestyle. In contrast, the pink colour brings a touch of warmth and nostalgia to the composition, as if outlining the distant homeland. The layered architecture reflects societal levels and transitions, hinting at the individual's modest existence within this transformation.

Through the abstract architectural forms, Eloise conveys a sense of disorientation among contemporary individuals amidst societal changes. The blurred outlines of urban buildings and the interplay of colors may symbolize the individual's chaotic experience in the wave of modernization, as well as the vague edges of hometown memories within the urban landscape.
