Elspeth Domin is an emerging artist based in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia.
Elspethโs artistic spirit has lead her down multiple creative avenues, however her most recent focus has been expressionistic abstract artworks on canvas. She combines a multitude of mediums that result in a stunning landscape of textures. Further to this, many of her works have a unique and beautiful secret. When lit with an ultraviolet light, the canvas transforms to reveal a showy display of colour and glowing light.
At an early age she developed a love for the natural world and an appreciation for the colour and extraordinary patterns found within it. As a young teenager she began to capture her inspirations through the eye of a camera and after high school, she moved to Melbourne to study photography at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. After graduating she moved back to Adelaide and worked as a professional fashion and architectural photographer for several years. This career opened many unexpected doors and she went on to explore retail and product development, floral design and event styling.
Addicted to colour and driven by a desire to spark joy within others, Elspeth continues to find new ways to express her creative passion and weave a beautiful energy into everything she makes.
Recently, Elspeth has decided to offer precious insight into the creative process and run intimate workshops for the general public through The Little Hills Makery Shed in Echunga, South Australia. With a view to draw out the artist within us all, these workshops embrace a fun, hands on experience where one can relax, learn something new and enjoy a creative moment in a safe and nurturing space.
