Death is a Gemini

This large piece came to life in a difficult time in my life.

The piece captures the painted woman as she tears in two, intense dualities ripping at her. Two parts of a whole that never feel like they’re a perfect fit, cohabiting.

The tiredness, the angst, the final descent. The indifference in a woman feeling like she’s ripping apart. But hope and growth come even in our darkest times.

I paint the female form, abstract florals, enjoy busy doodling, and have a a deep interest in female stories, iconography and representation of the divine feminine in art and life. I also write whimsical, silly poems.

I bring my pieces together in layers, building complexity and pouring myself into everything I create.

I bloody love art, I love creating and bringing pieces to life from inside my brain. The joy I feel when one of my paintings or prints finds a new happy home on a wall somewhere out there is huge!
