Artwork Description

An expressive abstract acrylic painting unfolds in rich layers of texture and movement, dominated by deep oceanic blues, teals, and violets that blend into one another with energetic brushstrokes. At the center, an elongated white female form emerges in thick impasto, its sculptural texture contrasting sharply against the fluid, atmospheric background. The figure appears suspended in motion folding inward, evoking themes of transformation, vulnerability, or silent dialogue.
Dark plum floral shapes drift across the upper left portion of the composition like floating blossoms or butterflies, adding an organic rhythm to the scene. Metallic gold accents streak vertically and diagonally through the painting, introducing warmth and a sense of sacred illumination amid the cool-toned palette. Smaller dark droplets scattered throughout create balance and visual punctuation.
The heavily textured acrylic application gives the painting a tactile, almost carved quality, while the layered colors and abstract forms create emotional depth and ambiguity. The composition feels dreamlike and introspective, blending figurative suggestion with abstract expressionism to invite personal interpretation.

Artist Bio

My work is a celebration of texture, colour, and emotional honesty. I am drawn to bold, bright palettes and richly layered surfaces that invite the viewer not only to see, but to feel. Texture plays a central role in my practice — I build, scrape, layer, and reveal, allowing each piece to hold traces of its own evolution.

After becoming a mother, my relationship with art transformed. In the beautiful, disorienting process of rediscovering myself within motherhood, painting became both an anchor and a reclamation. What began as a quiet return to creativity evolved into a reignited passion — a way of finding my voice again, reconnecting with joy, and expressing the complex emotions that come with nurturing new life while redefining your own.

For me, painting is not just a process; it is an outpouring. I pour my soul into every canvas, using colour and form as a language when words fall short. My art is an invitation to connect: to emotion, to colour, and to the beauty found in depth and intensity
