Artwork Description

A delicate blue wren is captured in vivid detail, its electric sapphire plumage glowing with intensity. The acrylic painting emphasizes the striking contrast of rich blues against subtle accents of charcoal and white along its wings and throat. Its tiny form radiates energy and curiosity, with a slight tilt of the head that suggests alertness and life.
Layered acrylic strokes bring texture and depth to the feathers, each brushmark contributing to a sense of softness and movement. Fine details around the eyes and beak add realism, while slightly looser strokes throughout the body maintain an expressive, painterly quality.
The composition is minimal and focused, drawing full attention to the bird itself. The absence of surrounding elements enhances its presence, allowing the viewer to appreciate the intricate coloration and delicate structure without distraction.
Overall, the painting conveys quiet vitality and fragile beauty—an intimate portrayal of one of nature’s smallest yet most visually captivating creatures.

Artist Bio

My work is a celebration of texture, colour, and emotional honesty. I am drawn to bold, bright palettes and richly layered surfaces that invite the viewer not only to see, but to feel. Texture plays a central role in my practice — I build, scrape, layer, and reveal, allowing each piece to hold traces of its own evolution.

After becoming a mother, my relationship with art transformed. In the beautiful, disorienting process of rediscovering myself within motherhood, painting became both an anchor and a reclamation. What began as a quiet return to creativity evolved into a reignited passion — a way of finding my voice again, reconnecting with joy, and expressing the complex emotions that come with nurturing new life while redefining your own.

For me, painting is not just a process; it is an outpouring. I pour my soul into every canvas, using colour and form as a language when words fall short. My art is an invitation to connect: to emotion, to colour, and to the beauty found in depth and intensity
