Artwork Description

A richly textured acrylic impasto painting depicting a serene forest waterfall scene. Deep emerald and moss-green tones create a dense woodland backdrop, while bold palette-knife strokes bring movement and energy to cascading white waterfalls flowing over dark rocky terrain. In the foreground, lush fern-like foliage extends diagonally across the composition, adding depth and a sense of tropical wilderness. Thick layers of paint and expressive textures capture the shimmer and force of rushing water against the earthy landscape, blending realism with an atmospheric, almost dreamlike quality. The contrast between the dark forest shadows and luminous water gives the piece a tranquil yet dramatic presence, inviting the viewer into a hidden natural sanctuary.

Artist Bio

My work is a celebration of texture, colour, and emotional honesty. I am drawn to bold, bright palettes and richly layered surfaces that invite the viewer not only to see, but to feel. Texture plays a central role in my practice — I build, scrape, layer, and reveal, allowing each piece to hold traces of its own evolution.

After becoming a mother, my relationship with art transformed. In the beautiful, disorienting process of rediscovering myself within motherhood, painting became both an anchor and a reclamation. What began as a quiet return to creativity evolved into a reignited passion — a way of finding my voice again, reconnecting with joy, and expressing the complex emotions that come with nurturing new life while redefining your own.

For me, painting is not just a process; it is an outpouring. I pour my soul into every canvas, using colour and form as a language when words fall short. My art is an invitation to connect: to emotion, to colour, and to the beauty found in depth and intensity
