Crashing waves

A powerful ocean wave surges forward in a moment of dramatic release, captured at the peak of its crash. The acrylic painting emphasizes movement and force, with sweeping, sculptural strokes that give the water a three-dimensional, almost tangible presence. Texture plays a central role in my practice — I build, scrape, layer, and reveal, allowing each piece to hold traces of its own evolution.

After becoming a mother, my relationship with art transformed. In the beautiful, disorienting process of rediscovering myself within motherhood, painting became both an anchor and a reclamation. What began as a quiet return to creativity evolved into a reignited passion — a way of finding my voice again, reconnecting with joy, and expressing the complex emotions that come with nurturing new life while redefining your own.
