Artwork Description

These onions were placed into a bowl after a the weekly shopping trip, I felt so inspired by the beautiful colour combination I had to paint them. This painting has a lovely serene element about it, the gentle soft hues of warm pinks and oranges teamed with cool blue greys. It would suit a kitchen/dining space or anywhere you would like to add a peaceful quality.
This painting goes right to the edges of the paper. The painting is painted on Arches professional oil painting paper which is archival, framing behind glass is recommended to help protect the painting.

Artist Bio

I’m an artist from Townsville, North Queensland, Australia. I love various forms of art making and find it hard to stick to one, there is so much to be inspired by and as long as I’m being creative that’s what makes me happy. Having said that watercolour painting has been my main art practice, I love the watery flowing nature of the medium and the incredible intense hues to very soft transparent washes. Printmaking, drawing, oil painting and ceramics are also mediums I love to use.
My subject interests are varied but I prefer earthy elements, I tend to go with the flow and let my mood drive the inspiration.
You will find a broad variety of artworks and subject matter on my page, thanks so much for stopping by. 😊
