Adams Lookout 1

I painted this plein air at the end of a track where I often walk my dog in the evenings. This day was freezing and windy, so I chose red to signify the movement of the banksia leaves like fiery little dancers - I wish, I stopped feeling my toes long before the end! There were a few touch ups in the studio later.

I live and work in the beautiful Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, which provokes my deep love of conservation. Although landscape is where I have felt most comfortable for the last couple of years, I'll give many genres a go. Curiosity about human nature and a desire to know people genuinely inspires my figurative work.
