This is a very colourful painting of the Queen of Sheba orchid, which is endemic to Australia. I wanted to ceberate the vibrancy of this stunning flower and its alien-like singular spiral leaf. I also wished to draw attention to its threatened status

I am a self taught artist living in beautiful north eastern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia.
Art has always been a passion of mine and creating art work brings me peace. I work in wildlife education and training and find inspiration in the unique flora and fauna we are fortunate enough to have here in Australia.
