Tasmanian Coast

This piece was inspired by the east coast of Tasmania. It isn’t a depiction of a particular place, more so the essence that these places hold. I wanted the work to have the same sense of calm and contentment I felt in these places.

I have a background in sculpture and a passion for painting. Mediums such as impasto, texture and sand let me bring my paintings to life through adding this 3D element.

I am a professional artist based in Broken Hill, NSW, drawing inspiration from serene landscapes and everyday objects. Sometimes, I depict geological aspects, extending paintings into the third dimension. Other times, I aim to recreate tranquillity through colour or realistic depictions. When something I'm working on re-creates the calm or brings aesthetic peace, I know it's finished.
