One of my favourite Native Australian animals; the white cockatoo . I picked this particular photograph as a reference for my painting because it appeared as though the bird was looking sweetly over its shoulder at the photographer, with a little hint of cheekiness in it's eye. I also love the shadow effect of the eucalyptus tree's branches on the birds back.
The materials used were Arches 100% cotton, cold pressed watercolour paper, and Windsor & Newton Professional Watercolour paints.
