Gull Winged Corsair

"Gull-Winged Corsair" is my tribute to the Australian black cockatoo, a bird that embodies both grace and resilience. As I painted, I envisioned this majestic creature as a symbol of strength, presence, and the mental agility demanded of privateers, fighters, and freedom seekers throughout history.

The teal tones speak to the bird’s unyielding connection to the sky, a space that it commands with power and elegance.
