Artwork Description

"Shoreline" explores the boundary between worlds—the tangible meeting the intangible. The vibrant blues represent the ever-changing ocean, a symbol of emotions, their depths and their shallows. The sweeping yellows and oranges evoke the warmth of the land, a grounding force of stability and identity. Together, these elements form the geographical shoreline, a place of transition and contrast.

But "Shoreline" is more than a depiction of a physical coast. It embodies the psychological edge where the known meets the unknown, where the comfort of familiarity gives way to the daring step into new emotional or existential territory. The swirling colors suggest the push and pull of these forces—the tide of thought meeting the steadfastness of reality.

Through this piece, I wanted to capture the tension and beauty of standing at life’s edges, of embracing both the grounding and the flow, and of finding balance in the liminal space where transformation begins.
