I am an Australian artist based in Sydney where I work out of my home studio in Paddington. I have made art ever since I was a child, drawing fairies and girls in glamorous gowns. I have been selling my art for about 5 years now. Originally, I started out as a fashion illustrator and then developed my skills and explored multiple mediums, developing my art practice to painting figurative compositions and also dappling in abstract. My main mediums are watercolour and acrylic, and more recently I have started using oil. After completing my Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design, and loving the fashion illustration and life drawing parts of the course, I realised my desire to be an artist. So I studied drawing and painting at the Julian Ashton Art school in The Rocks, Sydney and also at the Waverley Art Studio.
My art process is almost a form of meditation for me, each piece I create is a journey to discover more about myself and the world around me. I enjoy trying new mediums and techniques as well as painting a variety of different subjects. This helps me to realise what I love to focus on painting and to further nurture and develop my style.
My inspiration is drawn from animals and nature as well as the female figure and largely my imagination.
In the future I hope to enter more art competitions and prizes, including my lifelong dream of entering the Archibald Prize! I do hope my art brings you joy.
