Artwork Description

This piece was created to emphasise the break through someone has had about their body image. Through years of sucking in, trying to be as thin as possible to please others and society’s standards, they’ve finally let themselves relax, breathe easy, and appreciate their body, instead of punishing it for not looking like someone else’s. This artwork conveys someone finally feeling comfortable in their own skin, and appreciating themselves as a whole, not just a body in need of change.

Artist Bio

Emma’s expressive use of colours are parallel to her views and perceptions of nature, in particular fauna. Though Emma uses a variety of styles and mediums to portray various scenes, her heart never strays too far from using the ocean as inspiration.
Whether she uses a graffiti, abstract, realist, surreal, messy, anthropomorphic, or contemporary style, Emma stays true to bright and bold.
