Artwork Description

A bucket list thing for me is to view what I think the apex predator of the sea is. Orcas are absolutely magnificent, cunning, playful, dangerous and intelligent. I wanted this painting to be subtle and the water to look deep, calm, and cold. In preparation for my journey into the arctic next year, it seemed only fit to use the colours and dim lighting of the Arctic’s winter twilight to embrace the orcas migration.

Artist Bio

Emma’s expressive use of colours are parallel to her views and perceptions of nature, in particular fauna. Though Emma uses a variety of styles and mediums to portray various scenes, her heart never strays too far from using the ocean as inspiration.
Whether she uses a graffiti, abstract, realist, surreal, messy, anthropomorphic, or contemporary style, Emma stays true to bright and bold.
