Hello from sunny Sydney! I'm Emmie - corporate lawyer, mum, art world newbie (as the artist, anyway!). I've always loved art and have found creating it to be such sweet therapy over the years.
It all began in Japan decades ago, as a student. I studied Japanese Calligraphy (shodo) and it's been the love affair of a lifetime. I'm no purist though; my Sensei would shudder at how I draw on the ancient tradition for modern purposes.
I'm interested in colour, line and form. The endless possibility of a blank canvas. The idea that something I create would find welcome in someone's home.
