Shifting sands represents the passage of time. The artwork was created from photographs that I hand printed on to the canvas surface. That was then painted and has real sand as part of the work.The work has a faded quality like an old photo that show the passing of time. The sand is eroding and will one day will disappear. The colours and blue white and grey. I really enjoy looking at this work it means different things for me at different times of the day, it makes me happy to see the lovely colours and helps me reflect on life when I feel the need to.
