Artwork Description

The ocean at depth, calm and unhurried, even when the rain drops.
Built up through many layers of acrylic, oil pastel and collage, added and scraped back until the painting carries its own quiet history.
A work that rewards slow looking, the way the sea does when you swim beyond the shoreline.

Artist Bio

Enora is a Sydney-based mixed media artist. Born on the coast of Brittany, France, she spent years as a professional ballet dancer before moving to Sydney twelve years ago. A conscious journey to unlearn perfectionism and let intuition lead.
Nature runs through everything Enora makes, filtered through feeling and curious observation.
An ocean swimmer and sailor, she's drawn again and again to water, its light, its movement, its pull, alongside plants, the quieter textures of the natural world.
Her work is abstract by instinct: less a record of what she sees than a translation of what she feels, built up in layers of colour, mark, and gesture until something true to the moment emerges.
Her approach stays open and unhurried, leaving room for imperfection and discovery within each piece, an invitation to pause and look deeper.
Having built a life in an unfamiliar country and language, Enora's work often returns to in-between spaces. What it means to belong to two coastlines, two histories, two versions of a body.
