Artwork Description

This Mystery palace is an impression of the oldest cave arts.
I captured the animals images on the background of this piece.
Then added a gold leaf to rejuvenate and recycle their lives into a modern day cave canvas art.
Many thousands of years later they will live on as a back drop to my cave work on canvas.
I’ve enjoyed it a lot . The colour is deep, dark and solid which makes it hark back to golden times when finding treasure was a rare thing.
So this is my mystery palace.

Artist Bio

Painting is an unexplained addiction that has been placed upon me.

One day, I woke up & had to paint. And now I cannot stop.

In my previous life in South Korea my life was dedicated to helping others- as a nurse in bustling main city hospitals.
I chased that career when I moved to Australia in 2002. However, now I am an artist.
I have a beautiful studio in outer Melbourne where I paint and paint and paint. I have got to paint.
The subjects are limitless. I have no boundaries. There is no singular topic in which I immerse.
If the subject appears in an imagination or its real and has a presence, then I must paint it.

I have never been at such peace in my daily work. It’s a crazy world where I now find that my work is helping me.

Currently participating in contemporary art study at the Mornington Peninsula, convened by Cheryl Peterson Art studio.
