Sunrise over desire, sunset I'm on fire

When I first began painting many years ago, I wanted to experiment with a form of commercial art. A painting that could be hanging on a wall in some budget hotel. But the more that I spent with a piece in its creations, the more I became attached. The concept of mass production became a process of concentration. They were never finished until I was totally enraptured in the final manifestation.
This is where the idea of smaller paintings within a painting started to interest me.
