This is a scene from a 50's romance comic book. The quote however is reportedly from Harvey Specter the character from Suits the series. It's partially apt, because as we all know too well, nurses are generally smarter then doctors or at least more practical when it comes to caring for their patients. The fabric art or textile art technique is not too common but similar to quilting except there are no stitches. Fabric doesn't allow for great resolution like paint or a photo, so this piece is actually better viewed from a distance. Unlike paint, the colours have to be what ever you can find and that matches the overall shade of those surrounding the colour so there is a lot of trial an error on some pieces, which is why some pieces of fabric stand out more then others as there might be quite a number of layers underneath the final piece.
This was professionally framed, this is mainly due to the fact that fabric collects dust which then becomes impossible to clean.
