Rapunzel

Every fairytale kingdom has its tower, and here is Rapunzel, with her impossibly long golden hair, waiting at the top. After a while the prince appears, gazing up at the doorless tower, wondering if it’s climbable.
I loved painting the surrounding landscape, capturing that magical fairytale world. The stone path and idyllic setting are inspired by classic Disney backgrounds.

The glow-in-the-dark effect is bright and can be recharged nightly. The vibrant daytime colors are preserved under a protective matte varnish, this canvas is a little textured.

For the best and fastest charge use a LED UV light, a 30 - 100 watt light (356nm) will charge the painting in seconds if mounted close on the wall. For an easy charge hand the painting in a well lit day lit area and top up the glow with a bright room light at night before bedtime for about 10 minutes.

Hi! My name is Esther.

For the last 13 years I've painted starry night sky glow murals under the name Stella Murals.

Last year I moved from New Zealand to Western Australia and at the same time changed the way I paint glow art.
I wanted to explore a more painterly approach and make colourful acrylic paintings on canvas. I describe them as day/night glow paintings.

I started painting landscapes and have shifted a little to paint fantasy/fairytale subjects as fantasy art was my first love way back when I was an art student.
