Esti Nagy is an Australian artist and designer living in Perth. Her works celebrate her deep connection to nature and other living beings. She loves the use of vibrant colours, organic shapes and textures. Esti creates works full of life and soul. Her art is all about bringing the beauty of nature to people's everyday lives. She creates through her heart to uplift, bring peace, joy and moments of reflection. Her style is realism mixed with expressive strokes, patterns and colours to create a sense of freedom, flow and emotion in the viewer.
Born in Hungary, Esti was immersed in world of art from a young age by her sculptor mother. She has also been exposed to many cultures and environments having lived long term on three different continents and this has very much influenced her beliefs, perspective and resulting artistic expression. Her family relocated to the island of Mauritius when she was ten, before she settled in Australia to obtain Bachelor's degree in graphic design and illustration at Curtin University. Driven by her passion for nature and design, Esti later completed a degree in landscape architecture at the University of Western Australia and went on to work on several large projects combining art, nature and architecture. Drawn to express herself more fully, Esti began her artistic career in 2015 and has since completed numerous commissions, including murals for local government, community groups, and private clients. She has participated in many group exhibitions and her work has been recognised by several awards. She held her first solo show in 2020. Over the past two years, she has been honoured with of two of the City of Stirling's Creative Communities Grants. Alongside her studio practice, Esti engages with the community by facilitating expressive art workshops.
