I am a contemporary Australian artist that primarily explores the human condition with a keen interest in unlocking the potential of the minds subtle, yet obvious influence on the making of everyday decisions. Key to this is the exploration is examining the impact of external forces on the internal perceptions of reality and how these manifest within a person’s subconscious and unconscious mind. Historical and modern methods of thinking about the world assist in the formation of questions around life, purpose, and existence in the search for meaning. When creating artworks, my methods of constructing compositions to communicate these ideas are seen in the continuous deconstruction and reconstruction of the natural and built environments as well as the interpretation of common interactions. By layering these pieces of information, I search to reveal and confront the psychological and physical layering of elements that create individual realities.
