Artwork Description

In Golden Hour, the landscape becomes a study in serenity. Gentle hills, a meadow alive with colour, and a sky washed in warm orange tones converge to evoke the fleeting beauty of dusk. The composition guides the eye along a winding path, offering a sense of calm, depth, and quiet wonder.

Artist Bio

Ethne Benn’s style is varied, moving from intuitive to whimsical and most often has a narrative. Growing up in Africa, she has always had a deep love and appreciation of landscapes. Ethne has worked with women all her life and this is evident in her abstract, figurative work.

Ethne has travelled quite extensively and you may recognise images of places in Europe, Africa and her new home country, Australia.

After decades of constant striving to paint freely and spontaneously, Ethne is finally able to draw from within and produces fresh and exciting results through self-expression.

As well as teaching art, Ethne exhibits and sells her art online and at various exhibitions around Australia was a finalist in the KAAF art prize in November 2016.
