This piece is an abstracted expression of life via the metaphors of florals. It's not so much about painting something as about conveying a feeling, a sense of the spark of life, the light breaking forth. This is the emergence of full-hearted splendour, fragile, but bursting, after turbulence or times of trial. The time of relief when our hearts stir again, joy returns and a sense of limitless expansion settles in.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
I live in the south-west of Western Australia, a magnificent pocket of paradise with sparkling waters, pure winds, cooling forests and famous surf-breaks.
With a BA in Design, I worked for many years overseas in the graphic arts but felt increasingly disillusioned working in the urban corporate environment. I happily gave it up, travelled the world, started a family and returned to something more visceral: paint and brushes.
Art has always been my first love, I've always been creating and this time round, to create artworks with acrylics is a fulfilling and dynamic blend of both personal transformation and the vehicle to bring more beauty into the world.
I use artist quality Derivan Matisse acrylics which are a fabulous Australian brand with many distinctly Australian hues and my paintings are finished with a high quality semi-gloss varnish to seal, protect and enhance the artwork.
