Artwork Description

"MONA VALE ROCKPOOL" by Eva Johnova

76 × 102 × 3.8 cm

An original abstract artwork showcasing the beauty of ocean water and the stunning Mona Vale Rockpool, located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Vibrant shades of blue, turquoise, and green represent the ocean, contrasting beautifully against the white of the crashing waves and the natural sandy coastline.

This piece is created using a combination of real beach sand from Mona Vale beach,
acrylic paint, and resin, bringing a little piece of the Australian coastline into the artwork.

The high-gloss resin finish enhances the colours and texture while also protecting the artwork from future damage.

This artwork is highly textured and has a beautiful 3D feel, with layers creating depth and movement throughout the ocean and coastline.

It is created on a high-quality, heavy-duty canvas and is ready to hang.

**PLEASE NOTE:** Colours and hues may appear slightly different depending on monitor settings, mobile devices, or tablets.

All pieces for sale are **original and one of a kind**.

Artist Bio

Eva Johnova is a Slovakian born abstract artist residing on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Growing up Eva has always had an artistic side which she initially expressed through her work as a make-up artist in Paris, London and Edinburgh. Since moving to Australia she has expanded her horizons and moved into the world of contemporary abstract art and design.

Nature is Eva’s greatest inspiration – especially the rich colours and textures from the mountains of her childhood in Slovakia and both the natural beauty of the Australian outback and the many beaches around Australia. Her earliest pieces involved working with found objects such as old furniture, books, newspapers to create environmentally sensitive works of art. She then took inspiration from the ethereal beauty of feathers. She has been using the natural material and also delicate hand-crafted paper feathers, during her previous design phase.

As Eva's creative spirits have soared, she has returned more and more to her inspiration from the natural beauty to be found in the outback and beaches of Australia. Eva has been inspired to create the beautiful resin artworks that mimic both the beautiful waves crashing on the sandy beaches which the Northern Beaches of Sydney are famous for as well as the contrasting beauty of the harsh ruggedness of the outback meeting the smoothness of the ocean.
