Midnight Tides

A deep, layered abstract inspired by the movement of ocean tides at night. Rich tones of navy, cobalt and teal are built up through heavy texture, creating a surface that shifts with the light throughout the day.

Drawing on a background in fashion and print design, this piece uses a process reminiscent of screen printing—building colour in layers and fragments to create depth, rhythm and variation across the surface.

With a background in fashion design, I spent years working across design, print development, and pattern making for designer brands in London. This experience shaped my eye for detail, composition, and the interplay of form and colour. Today, I translate those principles into my art practice, creating intricate works through a process of fine masking and layered colour application. My pieces explore precision, balance, and subtle complexity, drawing on the discipline of fashion while embracing a more experimental, expressive approach.
