Summer-stunned eucalypts;
Speckled lilac shade
under an impossible cerulean sky;
Stripped bark, falling leaves,
shimmering in weightless breeze.
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was started with a heavily-laden square brush, and finished with fine details. The result is super-bright; colour almost leaping off the linen.
The background has been left unpainted β the natural weave of the linen is the perfect backdrop and creates pleasant negative space.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born into a highly creative family of musicians, authors, actors and painters, and learned from a young age how to observe and appreciate nature and my environment. So, as an adult, there is no surprise I have embraced art as my full time career and passion. My art is heavily influenced by the indigenous landscape, particularly of the Northern Territory, and my home in central Victoria where I live entirely off-grid on rambling bushland acreage.
Best,
