This artwork is part of my “30 days // 30 paintings” challenge held over March and April 2021 and is offered at a special low price.

Today’s painting (day 3 of 30) features one of my most beloved subjects: foliage. I’m an avid gardener, bushwalker and camper, and the Australian bush is close to my heart. It’s a part of my everyday life. There’s really no surprise it frequents my art.

The layered effect of leaves gives this artwork a sense of depth, and although the colours I’ve used are not truly representative of the Australian gum tree, it’s not hard to imagine lying on one’s back under a great old tree.
