THE INSPIRATION
It has been raining these last few days, and the sky is heavy and grey, so I wanted to create something which could be described as a 'colour pop'. In this painting of Australian gum leaves, I have used bright gorgeous colours and a square brushstroke to create a vibrant rendition of our beloved local landscape.

I should also add that Living Colour is very much a retrospective of my earlier art, where acrylic colour in brightest tones were my 'go-to' for creating beautiful pieces at the beginning of my artistic journey.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born into a family of musicians, authors, actors, photographers and painters, it was natural that life lead me here, poised at the canvas, brush in hand. I live entirely off-grid at my bushland home in rural Victoria with hubby, dogs and a gorgeously prolific vegetable garden.

I use art to express my immense – well, let's say obsessive – passion for the indigenous landscape, which is easily recognised in my vibrant colourful artworks. Luscious layers of pigment are applied with energy and spontaneity, often switching from brush to palette knife to provide additional texture and depth to my paintings.

FRAMING
It would look great framed, however this is not necessary as the painting is stretched over an internal frame, and is therefore ready to hang.

PACKAGING
My paintings are treated with the greatest care throughout their life in my studio and home, or at exhibitions where they may temporarily hang. I am extremely careful to ensure your art does not suffer scuff marks, dents or scratches; and it will be carefully wrapped in bubble-wrap and sturdy cardboard. Gift wrapping is available on request.

DELIVERY
Delivery is via Australia Post, and insurance is included.

There are felt pads in the back corners to protect your wall and the painting has been varnished with a satin finish. You can frame the art if you wish, but this is not required as the canvas is stretched over an internal frame and is ready to hang, right out of the box.
