Sofa Hound

Part of an exhibition called Dog Years, held at Ellenbrook Arts in WA in 2025, all about Dogs and their place in our lives. This work depicts a dog sleeping on a sofa, with the text "We were wolves once, wild and wary. Then we noticed you had sofas." The style is contemporary and brings a cheerful domestic feel to the room.

Eveline is a Dutch-born artist who grew up in rural Western Australia. Her paintings intertwine a love of nature and the luminous qualities of oil paint and are woven with themes of empathy, transformation and human-animal relationships. Eveline trained in Visual Arts at Edith Cowan University (Bachelor of Contemporary Arts graduate 2020) and was awarded the Louise Macfie Painting Prize in 2019.
