Artwork Description

Mopoke is another interpretation of its call, which sounds very mournful and forlorn. Aboriginal Dreaming lore attributes the Owl's call to a bad tempered, selfish man who refused to share his ample possessions with the Great Spirit who was walking in disguise as a man

Archival inks ( Sakura) and water colour on 200 GSM paper
Framed in white ( example of type of frame pictured above)

Comes to you with a signed NRAA Certificate affixed to the back.

Artist Bio

Evie enjoys creating whimsy and excitement through the dance of lines in her drawings and watercolours. She has a strong interest in all things organic , particularly Australian fauna and recreates them , sometimes with the simplicity of a scribble .
Her challenge to date, has been to literally let go and get messy in her work, given her past styles which have been more ordered and predominantly realism.

She shares a creative life with her other persona who adores exploring paint and vivid colour. Here though , Evie is immersed in loads of exciting texture and lines and dreamy colour .

" I have to enjoy the image, feel a connection with it, to express it in a way I am happy with. I cannot help but adore beauty, character, and images that excite with movement, with a story begging to be told - what's happening and what's next! Its for that reason I name so many of the characters I draw, very carefully and give them an accompanying story. I draw for my own pleasure and hope you love them as well."
