Artwork Description

Another one of my resistance series. This one of a cute rabbit taking revenge on the farmer for centuries of persecution. It’s humorous and meaningful and quickly becoming a very collectible series.
It’s ready to hang in a matching (recycled) frame and comes with a very important certificate of authenticity and a personal note of gratitude.

Artist Bio

Ewen is a Tasmanian artist specialising in people and portraits.
Residing in the beautiful suburb of Bonnet Hill, just south of Hobart, surrounded by the natural world that inspires a lot of his work.
His big passion is telling peoples stories through his portraits, he’s not interested in the pretty young things, more the history in the lines and scars of real people.
A lot of his work is very graphic and may only appeal to a select few but he has still managed to have his work in institutions, galleries and private residences throughout the globe.
Some of his more recent work includes commissions of politicians, including Bob Brown, an ambition satisfied as he’s a committed conservationist.
When Ewen gets some spare time he likes to paint animals, especially rabbits behaving badly, inspired by his partner in art Coolio.
As well as being a supporter of human and animal rights he’s also a passionate advocate of LGBTQIA’s rights.
