Repose in Fragments is an original abstract figurative work featuring a seated nude figure drawn in expressive black-and-white oil pastel over a richly layered abstract ground. The surface includes collage elements made from torn music sheets and patterned paper, creating rhythm, texture and depth beneath the figure. Vibrant pink, orange, turquoise and blue tones are accented with metallic gold paint, which catches the light and adds warmth and luminosity to the composition. The monochrome figure introduces a quiet stillness against the energetic background, balancing intimacy with bold contemporary expression.
