Artwork Description

Faith paints stories of her country using the traditional Tjukurpa and Tingarri designs passed down to her by her family. She is a highly knowledgeable Ngaanyatjarra woman, having grown up in the bush before infrastructure or services found their way to the desert. Her work is notable for its dense doƩed lines and textured finish, evoking the long straight sand hills around Tjukurla, where she lives, and the perfect rippled sand dunes patterned by sweeping desert winds.
